Information Communication Technician – Level 3
Introduction
The broad purpose of the ICT occupational standard is to deliver efficient operation and control of the IT and/or Telecommunications infrastructure (comprising physical or virtual hardware, software, network services and data storage) either on-premises or to end-users provisioned as cloud services that is required to deliver and support the information systems needs of an organisation.
Who is this apprenticeship right for?
The role of Information Communications Technician (ICT) would be ideal for anyone planning to develop an IT career pathway that provides support to internal and/or external customers, by using tools or systems to problem solve and trouble-shoot routine and non-routine problems.
Employer Contribution
£750 for non-levy employers (Non-Levy contribution applies to employers with an annual wage bill of under £3m and enrolling apprentices that are aged 22 and above upon apprenticeship start date)
How will this be delivered?
This apprenticeship is delivered through a combination of work-based learning, online training sessions or face to face sessions. You will build a portfolio of work you have created to evidence your skills. When ready to finish your apprenticeship, you will sit an end point assessment – but don’t worry you will have loads of support to prepare for this.
