Responsibilities

As a Junior AI Engineer, you’ll learn on the job while helping build AI features for Sixty Seconds’ platform and clients. This is an entry‑level role—no professional experience required—perfect for someone curious about coding, AI, and working in a high‑energy startup environment.

 

 

What You’ll Do

  • Write awesome AI assisted code under guidance to support the AI toolsuite
  • Assist with preparing data and testing simple machine learning models
  • Help build and update small APIs and scripts
  • Fix bugs, document your work, and learn best practices
  • Join team brainstorming sessions and share new ideas

 

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Basic technical knowledge (self‑study, coursework, or personal projects)
  • Interest in AI/machine learning (online courses or hobby projects welcome!)
  • Willingness to learn all things AI, as well as Git, cloud basics (AWS/GCP/Azure), and new tools
  • Strong communication, curiosity, and a positive attitude
  • Able to adapt quickly and work well with others

Training

You will undertake the ground-breaking Professional Apprenticeships Software Development Technician Level 3 qualification. Professional Apprenticeships are an Ofsted Outstanding rated provider and hold the title of Bristol and Bath Apprenticeship Training Provider of the Year for 2021.

During this advanced apprenticeship, you will learn and develop a vast range of skills, covering a range of topics, including:

  • Programming fundamentals
  • Software testing
  • Web development

The programme is designed to mould you into a high-level, all-rounded software developer. You will learn in detail about debugging techniques, version control systems, database management & much more.

These modules are designed to jump-start your career and make you stand out in an increasingly competitive field, boosting your future earning potential.

Progression

Staff development is key and there will be the potential to transition into a full time develop role after your apprenticeship.
