Kate’s Kitchen are a leading catering and events organisation who have a strong environmentally committed focus. Based in Bristol, they specialise in wedding, corporate and individual catering events.

36 Hours per week / apprenticeship

Responsibilities

No two days are the same at Kate’s Kitchen and everyone works together as a team however some of the duties you can expect to undertake are:-

  • Delivery daily checks with delivery driver
  • Manage telephone enquiries
  • Take bookings via email and respond to all emails
  • Event planning and coordinating
  • Finishing function schedule
  • Assisting in marketing – newsletter, website updates.
  • Updating bookings into kitchen for last minute orders
  • Supervising events – after in house training
  • Social media handling – insta and LinkedIn
  • Filing and admin work – e.g. typing up recipes, updating contact list etc.
  • Helping with deliveries – if required, driving licence is essential

Working Hours

Wednesday – Friday 9am – 4pm in the office

Saturday 8 hour shift

Some weeks may vary in hours, but always paid

36 hours per week, flexi with 6 hours of job training included

With flexi for evenings – Wednesday – Friday

Person Specification

 

You will need to be customer-focused with good attention to detail. You will demonstrate a positive attitude with a pro-active and organised approach and with good problem-solving skills. They are looking for strong communicators with the ability to build effective working relationships with external clients as well as your team members and you will be keen to develop new skills. You could already have some of these skills through a part time job, work experience/volunteering or any hobbies/interests you have.

 

You will need a minimum of 5 GCSE’s Grade 4 (C) or equivalent including Maths and English

Training

During this advanced apprenticeship, you will learn a vast range of knowledge, skills and behaviours, covering topics such event logistics, planning, budgets, working with suppliers and so much more.

You will undertake the ground-breaking Professional Apprenticeships Event Assistant Level 3 qualification. Professional Apprenticeships hold the title of Bristol and Bath Apprenticeship Training Provider of the Year for 2021. They also boast the highest Ofsted rating, which only a select few training providers in the region have.

The programme is designed to mould you into a high-level, all-rounded event assistant. You will learn in detail about working as part of an event team, working with a brief, delivery of events, working with delegates & much more.

These modules are designed to jump-start your career and make you stand out in an increasingly competitive field, boosting your future earning potential.
