Responsibilities

The role of the Community Host is crucial to the success of the workspace. The Host will be part of a team that helps brings the co-working community to life by engaging with its members on a daily basis. This will be achieved by interacting with them within the workspace as well as the wide range of activities on the programme schedule such as networking and educational events. As well as acting as a host at such events it will be the responsibility of the host to promote and sell such events to both members and external individuals. The host will also be responsible for connecting businesses both within the space as well as the local business community.

You will learn:

  • Meet and greet members, visitors and guests to the workspace
  • Deal with membership enquiries
  • Process new membership applications and changes to memberships
  • Seek opportunities to upgrade the memberships of customers
  • Promote Origin Workspace hosted events
  • Promote activities in the Wellness Centre such as classes and workshops
  • Deal with member complaints
  • Act as host for events on the Origin Workspace programme schedule (both internal and external)
  • Ensure the lounge/lobby and roof terraces are clean and tidy so are presentable at all times
  • Ensure visitors and guests are provided with appropriate refreshments
  • Ensure the tea and coffee points are adequately stocked and presentable
  • Promote the Origin Workspace Connect Card to members
  • Sign up businesses to the Origin Workspace Connect Card
  • Provide general administration support as and when required
  • Conducting tours

  • Experience in the hospitality industry (Desirable)

37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday with flexibility to work occasional weekends for event bookings. Hours are based on a shift rotation depending on the needs of the business. Core hours are between 7.30am and 6.30pm however shifts will normally be 8 hours in length

During this advanced apprenticeship, you will learn a vast range of knowledge, skills and behaviours, covering topics such as communication skills, understanding the organisation and customer experience.

You will undertake the ground-breaking Professional Apprenticeships Customer Service Level 2 qualification. Professional Apprenticeships are an Ofsted Outstanding rated training provider and hold the title of Bristol and Bath Apprenticeship Training Provider of the Year for 2021.

The programme is designed to mould you into a high-level, all-rounded customer service professional. You will learn in detail about influencing skills, dealing with challenges, team working & much more.

These modules are designed to jump-start your career and make you stand out in an increasingly competitive field, boosting your future earning potential.
