Management and Leadership Essentials
Are you looking to give your team the essential skills require to manage and lead? This bootcamp is designed around building the fundamental skills required to step up into a leadership role.
- Classes are one day per week for 10 weeks
- Classes will be a mixture of teaching, group discussions and activities, individual learning tasks
- All training will be face to face
- The course covers essential skills like: becoming a supportive manager, maximising time, planning a project, creating a quality culture and performance management

Fundamentals in Project Management
The course is aimed at those with little or no experience of project management. The course covers the key elements of the project management cycle, and includes project management planning, scheduling and resource management. It will look at how to manage risks, and review projects.
- Classes are one day per week for 10 weeks.
- Courses are a mixture of online and in person classes, in Bristol.
- They will provide you with the information and skills to complete the multiple choice examination. (One hours, 60 questions)
- At the end you will have the opportunity to take the Association of Project Management (APM) Fundamentals Qualification, a nationally recognised qualification.

APM PMQ – Project Management Qualification
Do you work in project management but don’t have a formal qualification? This course will give you the skills in developing and planning projects, managing people and projects, and preparing for change.
- Classes are one day per week for 12 weeks
- Cover 24 units of the PMQ syllabus.
- Classes are delivered in person and on-line.
- This course will prepare you for the APM Project Management Qualification, a nationally recognised qualification.

- January 2025
Who can apply?
- Learners must be aged 19 or older on or before 31 August 2024 for Skills Bootcamps.
- Have the right to work in the UK
- Work within or be willing to work within in the West of England Combined Authority (LEP Geographical Area)
- Courses are free for independant learners.
Employers who wish to train an existing employer will be able to benefit from 70% of the costs being covered by the Combined Authority, and will only need to pay 30% of the overall costs, for large employers. Small and Medium employers will only need to contribute 10%.
