So Isaac, could you please start by introducing yourself?
Sure. My Name is Isaac, and I am a 20-year-old digital marketing professional. I have recently completed a Level 3 Digital Marketing apprenticeship with my employer, Event Sparks and my training provider, Professional Apprenticeships. Within my course, I have developed core skills in key areas, including social media, SEO, website management, email marketing, and more. Outside of marketing, I enjoy travelling, socialising and playing or watching football.

You began your Digital Marketing Apprenticeship with Event Sparks Limited, how did you find the first 3 months?
The first 3 months of my Digital Marketing Apprenticeship at Event Sparks were both exciting and highly engaging. I was learning something new every day while adapting to a new company and environment. The transition was made smooth thanks to the consistent support from my manager, Chives, my colleagues, and my tutor, Yasin.
In those early months, my focus was on building a solid foundation in digital marketing. I gained a clear understanding of the key components that go into planning and executing a campaign, such as strategy, design, copywriting, data analysis, and reporting. It was also a valuable period for grasping how each of these elements fits together within a broader marketing framework.
How did your tutor support you through your apprenticeship?
My tutor, Yasin, provided consistent and valuable support throughout my apprenticeship. During our one-to-one sessions and training days, he took the time to clearly explain each topic, ensuring I fully understood the material. He also regularly shared helpful resources and marketing tools to support both my college work and the campaigns I was working on at Event Sparks.
One example is when Yasin introduced me to a tool called Answer the Public, which I’ve since used regularly to identify new keywords for blogs and landing pages. That’s just one of many ways he supported my development over the past 18 months.
You completed your Level 3 Digital Marketing Apprenticeship with Event Sparks Limited, how did you find your whole experience?
Completing my Level 3 Digital Marketing Apprenticeship with Event Sparks was a highly rewarding experience. It allowed me to significantly develop both my skills and knowledge in key areas of digital marketing. Over the course of the programme, I saw a major boost in my confidence, and I am comfortable with planning, managing, and executing campaigns across a range of digital platforms.
Starting out with only a basic understanding of marketing, I’ve grown into a role where I can work independently and make informed decisions. While being the sole marketer in a company, especially as an apprentice, can be challenging at times, the consistent support from both my manager and tutor made the journey smooth, productive, and genuinely enjoyable.
You have now decided to move onto your Level 4 Marketing Executive Apprenticeship, what inspired you to continue developing your career in marketing?
Marketing is something I’m genuinely passionate about, and I’m always eager to continue learning and improving. When my tutor, Yasin, mentioned the opportunity to progress onto the Level 4 Digital Marketing Apprenticeship, it immediately caught my interest. I spoke with my employer about the possibility of continuing my development, and he was fully supportive. I’m really looking forward to this next chapter—deepening my knowledge, refining my skills, and building a stronger foundation for a long-term career in marketing.
What would you say to anyone considering an Apprenticeship and using Professional Apprenticeships?
Go for it! An apprenticeship is a fantastic way to gain practical experience while building valuable knowledge in your chosen field. Professional Apprenticeships have been incredibly supportive throughout my journey. They genuinely care about each apprentice and are passionate about helping you succeed. One of their biggest strengths is how they tailor their teaching to fit your specific workplace, understanding that every company operates differently and each apprentice has unique responsibilities. If you’re considering this path, I couldn’t recommend them highly enough.
