How was the first 3 months of your apprenticeship?
From the first day I felt comfortable balancing my work and studies. My company is very respectful of the off-the-job training I need to complete, and the resources and support I get from Pro Apprenticeships and my tutor is massively helpful as well. It was made clear to me what the ongoing and eventual expectations are of me to finish my apprenticeship and I was able to start strong by getting stuck in with my work responsibilities, while learning and producing work for my apprenticeship along the way.
How did your tutor support you throughout your apprenticeship?
Regular 121 sessions and progress reviews with my manager make sure all parties are aligned and that I am on course to do well in my apprenticeship and give me the opportunity to get support or clarifications as and when I need them. Content is covered at a manageable rate with follow up tasks to consolidate the knowledge I have gained. Kandis is a great teacher and gives helpful and detailed feedback on everything I say or submit to her.
How did your tutor support you throughout your apprenticeship?
I feel so much more confident in a professional environment thanks to the support network that an apprenticeship offers, especially compared to what you would typically expect when starting in a company in a new role and at a junior level. I regularly have to present to large groups, and interact with senior stakeholders, and I can’t imagine feeling able to do this (and doing such a good job for that matter!) without the skills and confidence the apprenticeship has given me.
