A Cyber Security Apprentice provides essential first-line security support across all sectors that handle digital information, from finance and healthcare to retail and manufacturing. Working as part of a dedicated security team, typically within a Security Operations Centre (SOC) or Network Operations Centre (NOC), you’ll monitor systems for potential threats, detect suspicious activities, and respond to security incidents under expert supervision. You’ll gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge security technologies while learning to implement crucial protective measures including firewalls, access controls, and security monitoring tools.

Employer Contribution

£300 for non-levy employers (Non-Levy contribution applies to employers with an annual wage bill of under £3m and enrolling apprentices that are aged 22 and above upon apprenticeship start date).

How will this be delivered?

This apprenticeship is delivered through a combination of work-based learning to perform the duties of a Cyber Security Apprentice and achieve the knowledge, skills and behaviour required for the role. When ready to finish your apprenticeship, you will sit an end point assessment – but don’t worry you will have loads of support to prepare for this.
