From Level 3 to Level 4 – Guy’s Marketing Journey

  • So Guy, could you please start by introducing yourself?

Hi, my name is Guy, and I am responsible for marketing strategy development and execution of marketing campaigns at Three Cherries. Based in Bristol, Three Cherries provide high quality business IT support services, taking the gamble out of business technology.

  • You began a Digital Marketing Apprenticeship at Three Cherries, how was the first 3 months?

The first 3 months were an important period to settle in and leave a strong, lasting impression. Due to not having any previous marketing experience, it was vital that any information was absorbed and put into practice to ensure that not only my personal development and growth was of a sufficient level but also to meet the requirements of the business.

The support I received from Professional Apprenticeships was second to none, and it felt like they wanted nothing but my success. This truly made an impact on my drive and passion within the first 3 months and pushed me to put all my new knowledge into practice.

  • How did your tutor support you throughout your Apprenticeship?

Throughout my apprenticeship I had Yatin as my tutor. Before properly starting the apprenticeship, I was unsure how the remote style of tutoring would work. However, after the first call any doubts soon disappeared, and my eyes opened to the quality of tutoring.

Yatin was always just a text or email away, and by having this support available from the start means that the only direction an apprentice can go is upwards. The level of knowledge and experience Yatin showed was incredible, and when any requests needed to go beyond Yatin, the whole PA team were just as brilliant.

Towards the end of my apprenticeship, the amount of contact I had with Yatin increased and his level of excellence continued throughout. I really couldn’t recommend the team high enough.

  • You completed your apprenticeship at Three Cherries – Whats next?

From day one of the level 3 apprenticeship, I realised that marketing was something I’d like to stay in long term. As the apprenticeship progressed and my skills developed, this desire only grew stronger. Therefore, with the support of Yatin and the Professional Apprenticeships team, I requested more information about the Level 4 Marketing Executive Apprenticeship.

With having a workplace in which I was comfortable and valued in, I decided to reach out and discuss the appetite to stay and do the next level here. Fortunately, these goals aligned, and I am pleased to be staying at Three Cherries for my Level 4 Marketing Executive Apprenticeship.

  • What would you say to anyone considering an Apprenticeship and using Professional Apprenticeships?

My best piece of advice to anyone considering an apprenticeship is to simply go for it. Regardless of age or previous experience, there will be an apprenticeship for you and with the support of a company like Professional Apprenticeships, ensuring that you have every resource needed to thrive, there’s not much that can go wrong!

Previous to joining Three Cherries on the Level 3 Digital Marketer Apprenticeship, I was working in retail with not a huge idea on what was next. Taking the plunge was the single best thing I could’ve done for both my professional and personal development.

If you’re considering it and still not quite sure, at the very least reach out to the team. Not only will you receive expert guidance but also a very warm welcome.
