Culture & Benefits

Founded in 2015 by CEO and Founder Ian Willis, Abney & Baker emerged from Ian’s personal journey and professional expertise. After searching for care and support for a parent with Parkinson’s and serving as a director for a major national care chain, Ian experienced the care and support industry from both perspectives. He witnessed firsthand the detrimental effects of low wages and poor working conditions on staff morale and the quality of care provided.

Convinced there was a better way, Ian envisioned a care company that values and supports its team, believing that this approach would lead to superior care for clients. That’s when Abney & Baker was born.

As a family-owned and locally operated business, they take great pride in their role within the community. From day one, they have prioritised treating people right in every decision they make. By doing better for their employees, they ensure they do better for their clients. Ultimately, truly put the care into homecare.

At Abney & Baker, they are putting the care into homecare and have clear values that guide how they work:

  • Do the Right Thing
  • Do the Best Job You Can
  • Show You Care
  • Reflect, Learn and Grow

They’re looking for someone who wants to help them achieve this and who shares their values.
