This is an exciting and rare opportunity to work for a leading local charity, supporting the learning and development team. St Peter’s Hospice is a local charity that provides care and support to adults who are living with a progressive life-limiting illness in the Bristol, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset area and are looking for an organised, enthusiastic apprentice to play a crucial role in enhancing the learning experience for their wider team.

What will you be doing?

In this varied and interesting role, you will be working as part of a small and dynamic team, supporting the Learning & Development function. You will be playing a crucial role, including updates to their Learning Management System and updating online learning modules.

This role will involve a wide range of administrative tasks such as email management, printing training resources, managing training requests, scheduling training, reporting and collation of management information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To maintain and update the Learning Management System (Breeio) to accurately set up, run and record all L&D activities for employees, bank workers and volunteers
  • Responding to all Learning and development queries.
  • To work with the LMS providers to review, update and develop the LMS to ensure that it is fit for purpose and meets St Peters Hospice’s needs
  • To produce regular reports using the LMS and Excel to update managers and employees on statutory/mandatory training requirements and employee training records
  • To update learning content as required by key business stakeholders.
  • To source learning opportunities that meet with our learning needs.

Person Specification

  • Experience with data entry & analysis
  • Evidence of commitment to continuous professional development
  • Experience of working within a busy team
  • Enthusiasm for digital learning and a keen interest in educational technology.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with digital content creation tools.
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) English and Maths.

Training

During this advanced apprenticeship, you will learn a vast range of knowledge, skills and behaviours, covering topics such as project management, systems & processes, business structures and so much more.

You will undertake the ground-breaking Professional Apprenticeships Business Administrator Level 3 qualification. Professional Apprenticeships hold the title of Bristol and Bath Apprenticeship Training Provider of the Year for 2021. They also boast the highest Ofsted rating, which only a select few training providers in the region have.

The programme is designed to mould you into a high-level, all-rounded business professional. You will learn in detail about business communication, organisation, managing change, problem solving & much more.

These modules are designed to jump-start your career and make you stand out in an increasingly competitive field, boosting your future earning potential.

Progression

This role will provide the right person with a chance to learn an administration skill and develop into a Learning and Development role.
