Pub & Festival Content Apprenticeship

Guerilla Pubs is a highly successful company who own and manage 9 pubs across Bristol. Alongside running their pubs, they are also a well-established events company who provide bars and stewarding staff to six UK based festivals over the summer, including: Glastonbury, Boomtown and Valley Fest!

Guerilla Pubs are growing at pace and they now have an opportunity to offer a marketing apprenticeship to someone keen to start their creative career

Responsibilities

The aim is to create and capture content of the team whilst working at festivals and advertising special events or offers taking place at the pubs in Bristol. This is a unique chance to be right at the heart of this growing business and build on your creative knowledge and skills. This role will suit someone who enjoys the festival life and working as part of a tight knit team.

You will learn

  • Creating social media content to capture festival activity
  • Producing photographs, reels, videos and TikTok content
  • Managing social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook etc) to advertise ‘up and coming’ pub events and special offers
  • Producing flyers and poster to advertise events
  • Manage the online enquiries and bookings
  • Be part of the festival team to set up the bars & logistics
  • Assisting in re-designing the website
  • Cultivating a strong brand awareness
  • Communicating with new customers to establish their needs
  • Attending team meetings to understand the priorities and offering support as required
  • Keep the company database up to date with contact information and progress on IT problems solved

Personal Qualities

Firstly, you will be someone with a creative passion and an eye for capturing the moment on film and camera. An understanding of widely used social media platforms is essential as you will be creating marketing content to be shown across Instagram, Facebook and Tik Tok. As you develop in your role, they will encourage your new ideas and fresh perspective on content creation. Being excited and motivated by attending festivals and evening events to capture content will be essential.

During the summer months, you will be required to work additional hours and will receive time off in lieu at a less busy period of the year. You will demonstrate a positive attitude with a pro-active and organised approach and with good problem-solving skills. They are looking for a strong communicator with the ability to build effective working relationships with customers and the wider team. You could already have some of these skills through a part time job, work experience/volunteering or any hobbies/interests you have.

Content Creator Training

During this advanced apprenticeship, you will learn a vast range of knowledge, skills and behaviours, covering topics such as:

  • Audio and visual content
  • Content for social media
  • Copywriting and so much more.


You will undertake the ground-breaking Professional Apprenticeships Content Creator Level 3 qualification. Professional Apprenticeships are an Ofsted Outstanding rated training provider and hold the title of Bristol and Bath Apprenticeship Training Provider of the Year for 2021.

The training is delivered using a hybrid model and can be delivered fully remotely if needed. You will have monthly 1-2-1s with your assigned tutor, along with monthly group sessions, where one topic will be covered in detail, and you will have the opportunity to meet and work with all the other apprentices on the course.

The programme is designed to mould you into a high-level, all-rounded digital marketer. You will learn in detail about:

  • Creation of audio and visual content
  • Blogging and written content
  • Creating content for social media
  • Designing engaging posts
  • Managing content online
  • Evaluating and testing the effectiveness of content


These modules are designed to jump-start your career and make you stand out in an increasingly competitive field, boosting your future earning potential.

The aim is to support and look after you as you start your first steps to a career in marketing. Guerilla recognise that career development will be important to you and there will be further progression opportunities and training options as they continue to grow.

As you will be part of a core team, your input will be important and key to the continued growth of the organisation. As your skills and knowledge grow, you could have the potential to continue on your learning journey and training.

Job Types: Full-time, Apprenticeship

Pay: £18,000.00 per year
