Professional Hygiene have an excellent reputation for helping their clients with hazardous/clinical waste management, washroom services and janitorial supplies. They have built the business on exemplary customer service and are looking for their newest apprentice to support the business as it grows.

Responsibilities

With a rare opportunity to move across different departments throughout your apprenticeship, you will truly experience all aspects of business, including sales & marketing, finance, customer service, operations and waste management.

You will learn:

Waste Transfer Station (3 months) – Learning all aspects of waste handling and disposal.

  • Processing waste received
  • Processing waste sent for disposal
  • Managing waste consumable stock

 

Transport & Operations (3 months) – Learning all aspects of routing and driver management.

  • Routing drivers work for the following week
  • Finding the best route for new services
  • Liaising with drivers for ad-hoc work requests
  • Processing drivers’ weekly timesheets
  • Entering sickness on the HR system

 

Customer Services (3 months) – Learning all aspects of customer service and stock management

  • Entering new contracts on the system
  • Handling customer queries and complaints and liaising with drivers to resolve
  • Ordering waste consumable stock

 

Sales & Marketing (3 months) – Learning all aspects of Janitorial sales and marketing

  • Raising new contract paperwork
  • Processing ad-hoc orders
  • Janitorial stock management
  • Social media campaigns

 

Finance (3 months) – Learning all aspects of finance

  • Raising sales invoices
  • Taking card payments over the phone
  • Chasing overdue accounts for payment
  • Processing purchase invoices
  • Reconciling supplier statements
  • Processing payments to suppliers
  • Weekly and monthly reporting

 

Any other duties reasonably requested

Business Administrator Training

 

During this advanced apprenticeship, you will learn a vast range of knowledge, skills and behaviours, covering topics such as project management, systems & processes, business structures and so much more.

You will undertake the ground-breaking Professional Apprenticeships Business Administrator Level 3 qualification.
